BELOW SURFACE, is a bold meditation on the intricate relationships that bonds humanity, nature, and the delicate surfaces of our world.
I am profoundly inspired by the cellular patterns of life, the unseen structures within a leaf, the reflective whispers of water and the organic geometries that thread together all living things.
My lens is a scientific instrument and poetic voice in tandem. They reveal the intelligent interconnectedness between our species and the Earth we share.
We are not just inhabitants living "on" Earth. We are participants living "with" Earth.
I am drawn to the GAIA Theory*, which sees the Earth as a single self-regulating system that sustains all life, from the surface rocks and oceans to the atmosphere and humanity. Every part is inextricably linked to the whole. My work explores the intimate dialogue between microcosm and macrocosm and way beyond.
Each carefully selected take is intended to expose the cellular networks beneath the skin of a plant, that echo the rivers and pathways of our planet. Water droplets on a surface reflect both sky and soil. These moments are metaphors for the fragile yet resilient balance we must nurture in our relationship with the natural world.
My aim is to awaken a sense of awe and responsibility in the viewer through composition, texture, and light. My photographs are more than images. They are invitations—to pause, to see deeply, and to connect. Every leaf, every ripple, and every breath are reminders that the story of life is interwoven in these images, waiting to be celebrated and safeguarded.
Every capture is carefully composed to reveal invisible connections, transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary, and inspire a deeper reverence for the living tapestry that sustains us all.
